Accomplishments

Senior Year, 17 years old (2016-17):

  • Finished senior season with 47 catches, 691 yards, 9 TDs. This gave him career stats of 175 catches, 2781 yards and 24 receiving TDs (ALL of which are school records).
  • 2016 Texas Sportswriters Association All-State WR (honorable mention).
  • Waco Tribune Herald Week 9 Offensive Honor Roll. 7 catches, 127 yards, 2 TDs against Rockdale.
  • Waco Tribune-Herald Week 8 Offensive Honor Roll. 6 catches, 124 yards, 1 TD against Jarrell.
  • Andrew was named to Lone Star Gridiron’s 2016 3A Pre-Season All-State Team.
  • Named 1st Team All-District Wide Receiver for the THIRD straight year.
  • Named to the “Centex 25” by the Waco Tribune-Herald. This is a list of the top 25 senior football prospects in Central Texas.

Junior Year, 16 years old (2015-16):

  • Andrew finished the full season (11 games) with a school record 82 catches for a school record 1372 yards. He also scored 11 TDs. You can see his Junior Year Highlights here.
  • Andrew finished the regular season (10 games) as the TOP RECEIVER in Central Texas in yards (1236) and catches (73) across all divisions. Here is the clipping from the Waco Tribune-Herald:

  • Andrew was named to the Central Texas Prospects 2015 Preseason All Centex Team.  He was named to the 1st Team Offense as a  Wide Receiver.
  • District champion in tennis (boys doubles).  Third place at regionals. Team MVP.
  • Received the McGregor High School Academic Excellence Award.

Sophomore Year, 15 years old (2014-15):

  • 2-way starter for McGregor (WR and Safety).  Also returned punts and kickoffs. See Andrew’s sophomore highlight video here.
  • Finished the 2014 football season with 36 catches for 535 yards and 4 TDs. He had 59 tackles, 3 INTs and 4 fumble recoveries on defense.
  • 1st Team All-District WR, Honorable Mention All-District defensive back.
  • Padilla Poll Honorable Mention All-State WR.
  • Named to the 60th Annual Super Centex Football Team as Honorable Mention Wide Receiver. Waco Trib article.
  • Named to Scout’s 2017 Watch.
  • Invited to–and attended–the Rivals Speed & Skill Challenge in Houston, Texas, on 3.28.2015.  He competed against some of the top DB prospects in this part of the country and more than held his own. See video highlights HERE.
  • Named to the Waco Tribune-Herald’s Central Texas Offensive Honor Roll for his role in McGregor’s victory over Grandview on 9.26.2014 in which he caught 2 passes for 84 yards and a TD and had many excellent blocks.  See TD catch here.
  • Named to the Waco Tribune-Herald’s Central Texas Offensive Honor Roll for his role in McGregor’s victory over Hillsboro on 10.31.2014 in which he caught 3 passes for 85 yards and a TD.  See TD catch here.
  • Named to the Waco Tribune-Herald’s Central Texas Offensive Honor Roll on 11.9.2014 for his 6 catch/110 yard/1 TD performance against Glen Rose. See highlights of this game here.

  • Mentioned as a pre-season prospect at WR for McGregor High School in Dave Campbell’s 2014 Texas Football. McGregor ranked #20 in the 3A Div. 1 pre-season rankings.
  • Listed as both 2014 Projected Underclassman of the Year and as a Third Team Offense WR (all divisions combined) in the Central Texas 2014 Preseason Football All-American Team compiled/published by centraltexasprospects.com.
  • For the second year in a row, Andrew received the Coaches Award at McGregor’s Fall Sports Banquet.
  • Advanced to the state team tennis tournament as part of McGregor’s tennis team. Played singles and doubles.
  • Advanced to the regional tennis tournament in Boys Doubles during the regular tennis season.
  • First Team All-District Tennis.
  • Part of McGregor’s District Champion 4x400m relay team that qualified for area and regionals.
  • Texas Track & Field Coaches Association Academic All-State Track & Field Team 2015.
  • Inducted into the National Honor Society.
  • Received the McGregor High School Academic Excellence Award.

Freshman Year, 14 years old (2013-14):

  • Member of the varsity football team for his entire freshman year, with increased playing time throughout the season. Team finished 11-2 and advanced to the regional championship. See Andrew’s freshman highlight video HERE.
  • Waco Tribune-Herald Honorable Mention Central Texas Defensive Player of the Week for week ending 11/9/13.

  • Honorable Mention All-District at Safety.

  • Received the Coaches Award at McGregor’s Fall Sports Banquet.

  • Led district-winning JV basketball squad in scoring.
  • Varsity track. 54.14 400m. Ran on the area-qualifying 4x400m relay team with an unofficial 53.8 split at district meet.
  • Varsity tennis. Regional qualifier.
  • Was a top 5 receiver at the 5/18/2014 National Underclassmen Combine in Plano, TX. Video HERE. Position coach stated that he was the “most aggressive”, “most physical” and “most confident” receiver at the combine. Verified testing results HERE.
  • Because of his outstanding performance at the NUC combine, Andrew was selected to attend their Ultimate 100 Elite Camp. Due to a conflict with a church mission trip, he was unable to attend. Andrew was also invited to NUC’s Ultimate 100 Top Prospect Rising Stars Camp held at the University of Oklahoma, but was again unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict.
